At Glow Music School, our mission is to cultivate a deep love and appreciation for music in every student. Our innovative approach and nurturing environment empower students of all ages to discover their musical potential and achieve excellence. Founded by two passionate and experienced educators, Ms. Irma and Ms. Nat, Glow Music School stands as a beacon of musical learning and growth. We are committed to providing personalized, high-quality instruction that not only teaches technical proficiency but also fosters a deep appreciation for the art of music.
Co-Founders of Glow Music School
Ms. Irma
Ms. Irma graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Atmajaya. Her musical journey began in childhood, training in piano at Yayasan Pendidikan Musik and continuing with private lessons. She holds a Grade 8 certificate from the Royal ABRSM and has completed Suzuki Method training, alongside courses at the Little Mozart Institute in Singapore and music therapy training in Jakarta.
Professionally, Ms. Irma has performed at various high-profile events and has been teaching private piano classes since 2007 in numerous schools and institutions. Her students range from toddlers to adults, including special needs students, and she also conducts group classes for babies and toddlers.
As a co-founder of Glow Music School, Ms. Irma develops the piano curriculum and teaches masterclasses to both Glow teachers and the public.
Ms. Nat
Ms. Nat completed her education at BPK Penabur in Jakarta and continued her high school in Melbourne, Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Finance and a Master’s degree in Systems & Business Process Design from Monash University.
Her music education began with school choir training, followed by violin lessons with Ms. Sarah Vaughan and vocal classes with Madame Catherine Leimena. In Melbourne, she took intensive vocal lessons at David Jaanz Classical & Jazz Vocal Institute and has been involved in music education since, including partnerships with Australian music schools like “Music Works Magic” and music therapy training in Jakarta.
Professionally, Ms. Nat has a diverse background, from customer service at McDonald’s to owning a restaurant chain and working as a project manager for SQ Centre Indonesia. She co-founded Glow Music School with Ms. Irma in 2012, contributing to its growth and partnerships with various preschools.
Ms. Nat has extensive performance experience, singing and playing violin at events in Australia and Indonesia, including embassy functions and corporate events. She has been teaching vocals in groups and privately since 1999 and develops curriculums for Glow Music School’s toddler and group classes.
